Just me and my memories

I took this photo of the Tiki Theatre on Friday while standing in the street on Santa Monica Boulevard as traffic approached. Since I finished my memoir, I started writing a novel. It’s a thriller, and it’s called The Valley. The novel features a main character of a Stephanie Plum type, only she’s a down on her luck journalist who lives in the San Fernando Valley, and there’s a murder, and, well, you’ll have to wait for the rest.

The main character, who is based on me, but younger, lives in North Hollywood in a style of apartment building called a dingbat. I took this photo about five weeks ago of The Pink Flamingo, which is a dingbat. Isn’t it great? I wish I lived there. Sort of.

This morning I took this photo of this building somewhere in the Valley where I used to go see bukkake porn movie shoots. No one was around. Some cyclist came and went. I took a few more photos of the building. It’s something else these days.
